Abstract
In 2020 the 210th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian surgeon and scientist Nikolai Ivanovich Pirogov. The great scientist, more than a century and a half ago, predetermined the type of modern computed tomography by releasing his main work, which will be discussed in this article. N.I. Pirogov called it «Illustrated topographic anatomy of cuts made in three dimensions through a frozen human body» or «Ice Anatomy».
