Abstract

The review presents the history of the development of open methods for the surgical treatment of chronic lower limb arterial insufficiency. The main stages of the development of reconstructive surgery of the femoral-popliteal segment are highlighted. The safety and effectiveness of the techniques under consideration are compared.

Keywords: femoral-popliteal bypass grafting, critical lower limb ischemia, revascularization, atherosclerosis.
